The Adunni Foundation, legally registered as the Motunrayo Adunni Famuyiwa-Alaka Foundation, is committed to spreading a culture of goodwill and compassionate action as a meaningful investment in human and societal development. We start from Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria, and will extend across the globe.
We believe in the power of doing good intentionally, consistently, and strategically as inspired by Acts 10:38 – “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.”
According to the mission of Jesus Christ, we will seek to restore smiles, meet needs, strengthen communities and their capacity to take action to activate social justice, human dignity, and sustainable development, one life at a time.
A world where the spirit of goodwill transforms lives, uplifts communities, and spreads healing without boundaries.
To embody the Acts 10:38 to build a movement of active do-gooders and systems of generosity that address poverty, underemployment, hunger, poor education, inequality, and other urgent social challenges using goodwill as capital.
Over 63% of people in Nigeria live in multidimensional poverty, with millions underemployed or unemployed despite their capacity and willingness to work.
Hunger, health inequities, poor education, and systemic gender inequality worsen these realities daily. These statistics are not just numbers, they represent real lives, with real potential, deserving of real opportunities.
Our Work Aligns with these SDGs directly and many others indirectly:
Spread a culture of goodwill as a form of capital that activates development.
Develop place-based and interest-based communities to solve pressing needs.
Equip individuals and institutions to lead social interventions and sustainable charity.
Train goodwill ambassadors and inspire bold conversations around doing good.
Raise and manage indigenous resources to solve African problems in African contexts.
Lead knowledge production through books, research, media, and community polling.
Collaborate with the government to fill public service gaps and advocate for social justice.
Mobilise religious, business, civil society, and grassroots communities to act.
